SIBA reserves the right to update, alter, amend, or suspend any and all policies contained herein as required from time to time, but SIBA will not, without prior written consent, voluntarily disclose any confidential financial information; license examination scores obtained as part of a licensure process; test questions, scoring keys, and other examination data used in administering a licensing examination; scores of tests if the person is identified by name and has not consented to the release of the person’s scores; complete Social Security Numbers of living persons; and Complete account numbers, personal identification numbers, and passwords.

2. Information We Collect

The information collected depends on how you interact with the Testing Portal and where you are in the contractor licensing and examination process.

Information may include:

  • Name and contact information, including email address and telephone number;
  • Contractor licensing or application information;
  • Examination type and assigned examination;
  • Testing eligibility and approval information;
  • Examination attempts, retake, access, and completion information;
  • Examination scores and results;
  • Testing session and proctoring status;
  • Payment and transaction information;
  • Administrative notes, status information, and records associated with your examination;
  • Technical information necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Testing Portal; and
  • Communications related to your testing or licensing process.

We collect and maintain this information as necessary to administer contractor licensing examinations, process testing fees, provide examination access, maintain testing records, communicate with applicants and authorized administrators, and support the integrity and security of the examination process.

By applying for the test, the applicant is consenting to the release of his or her test score to the appropriate licensing authority or body as identified in the Privacy Policy.

3. Testing Fee Payments

Testing fees are processed through WooCommerce and WooPayments.

When you submit a testing-fee payment, information necessary to process and document the transaction may include your name, email address, billing information, payment amount, transaction status, order information, and related payment records.

Payment-card information is processed through the applicable payment-processing services. The Testing Portal does not use payment-card information for purposes unrelated to processing, documenting, securing, or supporting your transaction for the testing-fee payment.

Applicants are not required to create a WooCommerce customer account in order to pay a testing fee. The Testing Portal is configured to permit guest payment transactions.

Outside payment providers may collect and process additional information for payment authorization, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, dispute handling, and transaction processing. Their handling of that information is subject to their applicable privacy terms and is not affiliated with SIBA or this policy or in any way subject to SIBA’s control or authority.

4. Remote Proctoring Through Proctor360

Online examinations administered through the Testing Portal use Proctor360, a third-party remote proctoring service.

Remote proctoring is necessary to verify test-taker identity, maintain examination security, identify potential testing-rule violations, and protect the integrity of the contractor licensing examination process.

Depending on the examination and the Proctor360 services and security settings configured for the testing session, Proctor360 may collect or process information including:

Your name and examination information;

  • A photograph or image of you;
  • A government-issued photo identification document;
  • Video and audio from your testing session;
  • Images or video of your testing environment and workspace;
  • Screen or examination-session activity;
  • Device, operating-system, network, and technical information;
  • Programs, processes, services, or system activity detected during an active testing session, when applicable monitoring features are enabled;
  • IP address and other network information;
  • Examination incidents, alerts, automated monitoring information, or other information associated with examination integrity; and
  • Identity-verification information associated with the enabled Proctor360 services.

Your testing session may be recorded. Only authorized personnel associated with the examination program may receive or review session recordings, incident information, proctoring results, and related records when necessary to administer the examination, review potential rule violations, resolve disputes, or maintain examination integrity.

The exact information collected by Proctor360 and the technologies used during a session depend on the services and examination configuration in effect when you take the examination.

Proctor360 maintains its own privacy policy and terms and conditions and is not affiliated with SIBA or this policy or in any way subject to SIBA’s control or authority. Test takers may be required to review and accept Proctor360’s applicable policies before beginning a proctored examination.

5. Examination Monitoring and Automated Analysis

Remote proctoring may use automated or artificial-intelligence-assisted systems to identify events or activity that may warrant review for examination integrity.

Depending on the configuration of an examination, monitoring may include examination-session activity, camera or identity-verification information, testing-environment information, and other activity made available through the enabled Proctor360 services.

An automated alert, incident, or proctoring score does not necessarily establish that an examination rule was violated. Proctoring information may be made available only to authorized personnel for review as part of administering the examination and evaluating testing-session activity.
